ABOUT
To support San Francisco’s rapidly growing senior population,
Mercy Housing California (MHC) has been selected by the City and County of San Francisco to develop a combination of affordable senior housing and affordable assisted living on the Laguna Honda Hospital campus.

By 2030, senior residents are expected to represent 30% of San Francisco’s population. Yet, despite a growing demand for in-home care and assisted living, the availability of residential care facilities in San Francisco has declined 20% since 2015.
Laguna Honda Senior presents an exciting opportunity to build new, high-quality affordable housing for seniors, provide them with access to multiple levels of care, and develop new community daycare for adults and children, all within an integrated campus community.
